Oct. 3, 2024 ~ Detroit is rolling out its Dining with Confidence program, featuring new placards to indicate whether a food service establishment is in compliance or has been closed for failure to correct serious violations of Michigan’s Food Safety Code.

The Dining with Confidence ordinance was passed by the Detroit City Council in June to raise awareness about Detroit Health Department inspections and will provide another incentive for restaurants to correct any violations. The place cards will be green, white, and red.
