EAST LANSING, October 29, 2024 ~ Michigan State basketball defeated Ferris State 85-67 Tuesday evening at the Breslin Center in the final exhibition game of the preseason for the Spartans.
In a balanced scoring effort where 11 players all asserted themselves into the scoring column, it was senior forward Frankie Fidler who led the way. The Omaha transfer finished with 14 points, adding in two three pointers.
Sophomore forward Coen Carr followed closely behind with 12 points of his own, exciting the crowd and his teammates multiple times with alley oop dunks.
“We had 30 fast break points, I thought that was good,“ head coach Tom Izzo told WJR Correspondent Nick Lundberg after the game. “I would give Carr an A+ grade. He scrapped, got loose rebounds, loose balls.”
