AUBURN HILLS, Michigan, Nov. 25, 2024 ~ The Hunger-Free in The D Radiothon is set to make a significant impact on food insecurity in Southeast Michigan. Hosted by 760 WJR‘s Kevin Dietz and Paul W. Smith, this annual event unites community leaders and philanthropists in support of two vital charities: the Capuchin Soup Kitchen and Gleaners Community Food Bank. As economic disparities continue to challenge many families, this initiative seeks to ensure that no one in the community goes hungry.
The Celani Family Foundation, founded by Tom and Vicki Celani, plays a crucial role in this effort. Committed to addressing hunger, the foundation collaborates with local charities to provide essential services to those in need. The Hunger-Free in The D event aims to raise funds that will directly benefit individuals and families struggling to access nutritious meals, highlighting the importance of community involvement in tackling food insecurity.
