DETROIT, Dec. 18, 2024 ~ The real estate company run by Detroit billionaire Dan Gilbert has revealed plans for a new medical research building at the site of the failed Wayne County Criminal Justice Center.
Bedrock is working to build the Life Science Innovation Building on the 14-acre site in downtown Detroit which would include spaces for research in cancer treatment, biotech, and other technology development in life sciences. Partners in the project include Ferris State University, BAMF Health, MI-HQ, Wayne State University, and TechTown Detroit.
