MICHIGAN, March 31, 2025 ~ Severe storms roared through the state on Sunday, turning deadly in Kalamazoo, where three members of one family were killed when a tree struck their vehicle.
Three other people remain hospitalized, and one is in critical condition. Some parts of the state saw wind gusts hit 90 miles per hour, with much of northeast Michigan blanketed in a half-inch to three-quarters of an inch of ice. More than 200,000 power customers were left in the dark at the height of the storm, with crews continuing to restore power late Monday afternoon. Tornado warnings were sounded in several counties, but none were confirmed.
