Rep. John James Running for Michigan Governor

MICHIGAN, April 8, 2025 ~ U.S. Congressman John James (MI-10) is running for Michigan governor, joining a growing field in the Republican primary.

So far, the Republican field includes Michigan Senate Minority Leader Aric Nesbitt, with former Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox forming an exploratory committee for the 2026 election. “I dedicated my life to service before self,” James told WJR. “I went to the military at 17. I went to serve my country, and then after growing a business providing hundreds of jobs, I’ve come to serve the people of Michigan’s 10th congressional district and the rest of the state as well. This was never about me.”
