Trump stirs up Birch Run

Donald Trump made his first appearance in Michigan as a presidential candidate at a Republican fundraising dinner in Birch Run yesterday.  He only had to mention briefly mention one of his major points to get an outburst of applause from the 2,000 people in attendance.

Trump touched on everything from immigration, China, the military, Obamacare and his Republican opponents. The billionaire leads recent polls over 16 candidates.

“I love people, I love this country. We are going to make it so strong and so powerful,” he said. “You are going to love a President Trump,”

Trump criticized Ford Motor Co. for building a new plant in Mexico rather than the United States and says it is a huge mistake. He also criticized Jeb Bush and his comments made about women’s health issues, Hilary Clinton’s email scandal and claimed that the media are “scavengers.”
