Detroit casino revenue rises in july

Detroit casino revenue has increased for the month of July compared to this month last year, according to the Michigan Gaming Control Board.

Revenue totaled at $114.7 million at Greektown, MGM Grand and MotorCity Casino last month and increased 3.1 percent compared to July 2014.

Compared to the results a year ago, MotorCity increased by 6.2 percent, MGM increased 5.2 percent and Greektown fell 4.2 percent. For the year to date, casino revenue was up 4.6 percent with the first seven months of 2014.
