A tanker fire has shutdown I-75 in both directions at Outer Drive. Witnesses say there was an explosion–and then flames. It looks like the tanker struck the median before catching fire. Reports say the driver was injured and is in critical condition. I-75 southbound will likely be open in a few hours, but the northbound side will probably be closed for days according to MDOT.
