These ATM withdrawals took the entire machines: two crash and grab thefts. A vehicle, possibly an SUV, smashed through the front of a Marathon station on 10 Mile and Hilton in Ferndale in the early morning hours. The station was closed. Thieves made their way inside, wrapped a chain around the ATM, and dragged it away. A few hours later, the same thing happened at a cash advance on Dequindre in Hazel Park. Several thousand dollars were in the machines. The thefts may have been done by the same people: Pros, who authorities say may have been responsible for a string of ATM crash and grabs over the last few years.
