A state police trooper is in critical condition after being hit and dragged by a vehicle during a traffic stop on northbound I-75 near Clarkston. He may have been dragged for more than a mile. It happened on northbound I-75 at the ramp to Dixie Hwy. State police say the trooper was on his motorcycle, apparently making a traffic stop, when he was hit and dragged by another vehicle.

The trooper is at Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc. He is identified as Chad Wolf. Reports say the driver of the vehicle that hit the trooper continued on to the rest stop at Davisburg. That’s where the injured trooper was found by his partner. Police are questioning the driver of the vehicle that was involved.

Northbound I 75 continues to be closed between Ortonville and Holly Roads in Springfield Township
