State Representative Cindy Gamrat is throwing herself at the mercy of the panel that is reviewing the actions of Gamrat and Representative Todd Courser who are accused of using violating house rules and Michigan’s campaign finance law. The misconduct stemmed from an affair the two were having and their efforts to keep it secret.
Said Gamrat, “It is my hope through taking responsibility…that healing and restoration can begin. These decisions have dishonored God, my family, my district and my fellow representatives. And for that I am truly sorry.” She continued “My approach to Lansing and the people who serve here was off-key and lacked the respect that was due,”
