Cuba frees prisoners before Pope trip

Cuba has pardoned more than 3,500 prisoners ahead of the Pope’s visit to the island next week. Patrick Oppman reports from Havana.

Keith said Arise Detroit’s mission is to launch a new wave of volunteerism for the many worthwhile programs and activities that are struggling with the issues in the community, including illiteracy, high school dropout rates, crime, youth violence, drug abuse, domestic abuse, neighborhood blight, and unemployment. Neighborhoods Day will feature community service projects, art festivals, school supply giveaways, and vaccination drives.
