In Taylor a 28-year-old man died after his home caught fire early Saturday morning. Neighbors say the man lived in the home with his 27-year-old girlfriend. They say the couple had just celebrated the man’s birthday with a candlelit dinner. Taylor’s fire chief says an investigation is underway but preliminary results show that that the couple fell asleep with several candles burning.
