Convicted wife killer Bob Bashsra wants a new trial. He is serving a life sentence. He was convicted of hiring former handyman Joseph Gentz to kill his wife Jane in January of 2012. Prosecutors said Bashara wanted his wife killed so he continue continue on with his lifestyle of bondage and sadomasochism.
Bashara filed a motion in July saying essentially that his attorneys were incompetent and that his conviction should be vacated. A hearing on the motion is scheduled for Tuesday before Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Vonda Evans who presided over his trial.
