Wayne County Commissioners are expected to approve a budget for the upcoming fiscal years today. The County Executive’s office notified the board that the county’s key employee unions will avoid a 5% wage cut that was planned earlier by County Executive Warren Evans. Tentative agreements have been reached by the county with the AFSCME union, which had bitterly criticized proposed cuts. Other parts of the agreements are not disclosed.
