House to vote today on cutting funding to Planned Parenthood

The House will vote today on a bill aimed at cutting all federal funding to Planned Parenthood for a year. The move is the result of Republican outrage over undercover videos that seem to show Planned Parenthood officials negotiating prices for fetal tissue from abortions. Some House conservatives say approving a spending bill to keep the government open hinges on that bill including a Planned Parenthood funding ban. The government could shut down unless Congress passes a spending bill by the end of this month.
