Arraignment for father of 11-year-old charged with killing 3-year-old

An arraignment is scheduled Tuesday for the father of an 11-year-old boy charged in the death of a 3-year-old boy. The boy had been visiting his father in August and found a gun, took it outside, got into a car in the yard with a 3-year-old boy and shot the younger boy. The boy’s father, Curry Bryson, had originally faced several charges including manslaughter and second degree child abuse, but 36th District Court Judge Ronald Miles dismissed those charges. Bryson said the gun had been locked away properly at the time of that August shooting. The judge did let stand a charge of altering identification marks on the weapon. Bryson is to be arraigned today on that charge. Meantime, his 11-year-old son will stand trial in Wayne County juvenile court on charges including manslaughter
