Governor Snyder will make an announcement about the water situation in Flint Thursday. Flint’s advisory committee suggested the city stop using the Flint River as its water source due to high levels of lead. A panel of experts recommends that Flint rejoin the Detroit water system while a new water system is built in Genesee County, but it would cost more than a million dollars a month. Flint says it doesn’t have the money, and wants the state to pay for part of it.
