Big bosses at General Motors are expected to give depositions

It’s the big bosses turn as depositions continue while lawyers sue General Motors over the company’s lengthy delay in recalling vehicles with faulty ignition switches. The depositions that started back in May will progress with the General Motors CEO, Mary Barra, as she is scheduled to be deposed today. The recall involved 2.6 million vehicles that is linked to 124 deaths. The class-action lawsuit contends GM covered up the problem; a charge the company denies. The first trial stemming from dozens of lawsuits filed against the automaker and consolidated in front of a federal judge in New York is set to start in January. The depositions are expected to conclude today.
