A bill setting new standards for teacher evaluations is on the way to Governor Snyder’s desk for his signature. The bill limits the number of consecutive years a student is assigned to an ineffective teacher, requires that 40 percent of the teachers’ evaluations be based on student test score data, and gives schools the ability to choose how they will evaluate staff.
