GM to lay off 500 workers at Orion Assembly, but lost jobs will go elsewhere

A day after announcing a big hiring boost at one plant, General Motors will reportedly lay off about 500 workers at its Orion Assembly Plant. Automotive News reports GM will eliminate a shift at the plant, but that the lost jobs will go to other plants, including the Detroit-Hamtramck plant, where the company announced it would add 1200.
