The Yankee Air Museum at Willow Run has its world record back, at least unofficially. In March of last year, 776 women, children and babies gathered at Willow Run Airport to claim the Guinness world record for the largest gathering of women dressed as Rosie the Riveter. Rosie, of course, was the World War II poster girl.
The Willow Run record stood until last August when 1,084 women gathered in Richmond, California beat it. Saturday 2,090 people turned out at the Willow Run Museum to reclaim the record pending an official review.
