The queen of soul, Aretha Franklin, is being sued by a Bloomfield Hills condo association for more than $11,500 for association & maintenance fees. Franklin says she owns the condo in the gated community but does not live there. Franklin maintains she’s paid legitimate fees through the years and that she is currently being overcharged. The law suit names Franklin and two mortgage companies that hold the note on the $700,000 property. Plans are to foreclose on the property. Franklin has secured an attorney to defend her.
