Police continue to look for hit and run driver as Macomb Township family mourns the loss of second son in three months

Ryan Tsatsos

A Macomb Township family has lost two sons to traffic accidents, three months apart. Ryan Tsatsos was killed by a hit and run driver as he was walking back to his dorm at Central Michigan University on Saturday. Ryan was walking with a group of students on the way home from a Halloween party.  His friends say he pushed a woman out of the way before he was hit. In July, Ryan’s older brother Darryl Tsatsos was killed in a three car crash on Hayes and 21 Mile Road. The boys were the only children of Paul and Julie Tsatsos. Ryan was a 2015 graduate of De La Salle High School in Warren.

Crime Stoppers is now offering a $1000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the driver. Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-422-JAIL or the Michigan State Police Mt. Pleasant Post at 989-773-5951 or the anonymous tip line at 877-616-4677.

A GoFundMe page has been established to help with funeral expenses for Ryan. So far, $8,600 has been donated.
