Jury awards plaintiff $250,000 in sexting case against Charles Pugh

The jury has reached a verdict in the case against former city council president, and ex-Fox 2 personality, Charles Pugh. The have awarded $250,000 for the plaintiff and against Pugh for battery and emotional duress but not for sexual harassment. The verdict was reached around 4:30 Monday afternoon. The young man, a former student at the Frederick Douglass Academy, alleges Pugh tried to turn him into a prostitute. Last week, the Detroit Public Schools settled their case against Pugh and awarded the plaintiff, who’s now 20, about $350,000.
