Governor Snyder puts temporary hold on accepting refugees from Syria

Michigan has put a temporary hold on accepting refugees from Syria. Governor Rick Snyder made the announcement Sunday. He says he wants to make sure that the federal government has proper security clearance procedures in place. The governor had previously said Michigan would welcome the Syrian refugees. He announced the change after learning that one of the terrorist involved in the deadly attack in Paris had a Syrian passport in his possession.
