A Detroit police officer was shot in the leg, on the city’s east side. It started out as a routine traffic stop and ended in gunfire. It occurred near Moross and I-94. The officer is expected to recover from his leg wound. The suspect and his female passenger are in custody. The chief says the suspect took a shot at the officer.
