Hillary Clinton trails all of her Republican rivals in head-to-heads in Colorado. The new poll shows Colorado is a key swing state in the presidential election. CNN’s Eric Bradner said Colorado could be big trouble for Hillary Clinton. The Democratic front-runner in the 2016 presidential race trails all the leading Republican contenders by 11 percentage points or more in the key swing state. The biggest gap is between Florida Senator Marco Rubio and Clinton. Rubio best Clinton 52% to 38%. Ben Carson wins a potential head-to-head matchup as well, with a 52% to 38% advantage and Donald Trump leads 48% to 37%. Assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll, Tim Malloy, described Clinton in Colorado as a “chilly if not frigid reception.”

In the nominating contest, Colorado’s GOP voters’ preference carries little weight. The party’s caucus doesn’t count because it violates Republican National Committee rules that require states to bind their delegates to the winners of their votes. Nonetheless, Carson is the Republican voters’ preference in Colorado, with 25% support. He’s trailed by Rubio at 19%, Trump at 17%, Texas Senator Ted Cruz at 14%, Carly Fiorina at 5%, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul at 3% and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush at 2%. Among Democrats, Clinton has a clear lead with 55% support to Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders’ 27% and former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley’s 2%. President Barack Obama captured the Centennial State in both 2008 and 2012.
