The annual Wayne County Lightfest opens tonight to motorists and runs through December 31st. It transforms Hines Drive into a winter wonderland of lights for children of all ages from Merriman road in Westland to Telegraph in Dearborn. The Wayne County Lightfest has been called the largest and longest holiday light show in the Midwest. Tonight’s opening ceremony will begin at 6 o’clock with free refreshments, a fireworks show and the official ‘lights on’ ceremony. A 5-dollar donation per car is requested.
