Medicare open enrollment ending soon

Medicare Rights Center

Time is running short for members frustrated by their Medicare coverage. December 7th is the last day for open enrollment for current members who are looking for new options. Experts say it is important that everyone look at the best options for them in managing costs and benefits. They point out that a plan that is right for your neighbor, or even your spouse, might not be the best plan for you. This holds true for couples with different health profiles, where a healthy spouse might choose a plan with low premiums and higher out-of-pocket costs while the spouse with more health challenges chooses a higher premium with lower out-of-pocket costs. Officials at the Medicare Rights Center say it really takes an individualized assessment to find the right plan for you.
