Experts say it is important that everyone look at the best options for them in managing costs and benefits. They point out that a plan that is right for your neighbor, or even your spouse, might not be the best plan for you. This holds true for couples with different health profiles, where a healthy spouse might choose a plan with low premiums and higher out-of-pocket costs while the spouse with more health challenges chooses a higher premium with lower out-of-pocket costs. Officials at the Medicare Rights Center say it really takes an individualized assessment to find the right plan for you.
