A new development project is planned for Detroit’s Cork Town. Detroit business tycoon Tony Soave announced plans for a blocks-long retail & residential development near Michigan and Trumbull. Soave’s spokeswoman Kelly Rossman-McKinney said “The timing is a little premature” when asked about details of the project but other sources say the project includes 102 apartments, 24 townhomes and retail space, and may include residential lofts at the old Checker Cab building on Trumbull. Construction is expected to begin early next year.
