According to Oakland County Undersheriff Mike McCabe, it only took about 45 minutes for a pair of home invaders to break into a Lyon Township home, break into a safe, and get away with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of cash, silver bars, and diamond jewelry. McCabe says it looks like the suspects knew exactly where things were in the home. The home owner left to go to an area casino and when he returned he found that he had been robbed.  Deputies say the home owner has a security system, but forgot to activate it before he left. Authorities are searching for the two thieves.
