Detroit police are investigating a shootout that took place during an attempted robbery of a pizza delivery man on the city’s west side. The shooting happened on Kentucky Avenue after the delivery man pulled up to the listed address only to find the home was vacant and a man waiting outside. A female passenger who was with the delivery driver noticed the man had a gun and the driver pulled out his gun. Shots were fired and the woman was hit. The suspect was taken into custody one block over on Indiana Avenue. The woman was taken to the hospital. The woman was riding with the pizza delivery man because the pizzeria sends pairs for deliveries in Detroit.
