A 68-year-old Rochester Hills man, Lewis Piotrowski, is scheduled to be in court Tuesday for a preliminary exam on charges of assault with attempt to murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, and two counts of possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Last week, the police went to Piotrowski’s home after receiving a 911 call from his 69-year -old wife, who said her husband had beaten and threatened to kill her. Even as she made the call, she said Piotrowski fired two shots at her. She fled the home and was outside when police arrived. A search of the home led to the discovery of 145 weapons. There were 87 rifles and 58 handguns in the house.
