West Bloomfield contractor charged by Attorney General Office

Barry Ellentuck

The Michigan State Attorney General filed a false billing charge against a West Bloomfield contractor for allegedly sending inflated billing statements to the Detroit Land Bank. Speaking on behalf of the Attorney General’s Office, Andrea Bitley said the president of ADR Consulting, Barry Ellentuck (pictured above), was hired to provide asbestos abetment to homes in Detroit to make them ready for demolition. The charge follows lawsuits ADR Consultants filed in August against the Michigan Land Bank and the Detroit Land Bank Authority after the state terminated its contract in April. ADR claimed breach of contract and resulting damages of more than $1-million. Ellentuck was alleged to have pressured an employee to falsify invoices. The charge is a felony that carries a two and a half year prison term.
