One man has been shot and killed by a security guard inside the Dearborn Heights Police Department and court building. The man, according to authorities, threatened security guards with a knife. Dearborn Heights Mayor Daniel S. Paletko says a man was walking through security and lunged at the guard with a knife. The DHPD is currently on lock down. Two schools nearby, Westwood High School and Daly Elementary, have been locked down as a precaution.
