woman drives on las vegas strip, injuring many and killing one

A woman in her 20’s, with her 3-year-old child with her, drove her car on the sidewalk of the Las Vegas strip on Sunday, mowing down more than two dozen people. Metro homicide Captain Dan McGrath told KSNV News that the act was intentional and the police are treating it as such. The driver is speaking to detectives about the incident. Los Angeles resident Michal Jackson said the car “accelerated, and it just plowed through the group of people, and we were in shock … The it kind of hopped of the curb, and there was a lady that was struck under the care, and when it hopped back on the curb, she was laying between the curb and the street, and she wasn’t moving at all.” Twenty-nine people total were transferred to different hospitals: one pronounced dead on arrival, three in critical condition, one in serious condition, others are in good condition, and many have been released. The detectives are reviewing camera footage to gather more evidence and understanding of the collisions.
