Kroger is warning customers about a phony coupon making the rounds on social media. The false ad claims the grocery chain is offering a 40% discount on all in-store purchases. A Kroger spokesman says the ad is a fake and “This giveaway is not affiliated with or supported by the Kroger Company in any way. We recommend not engaging with the site(s) that offer links to the coupon, or providing them with any personal information. Our team is actively working with Facebook and domain service providers to address the concern.” The coupon started making its rounds on Facebook and other social media sites earlier this month.
