UPDATE: The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF1 tornado
There was a possible tornado that caused damage to buildings and vehicles Wednesday night in Canton Township. They’re assessing the damage, especially in an industrial park area. The area hit by high winds was on Lilley Road between Joy and Warren roads. No one was injured. Winds caused damage to roofs of commercial buildings and were strong enough that vehicles were moved. The National Weather Service will determine if the storm was straight line winds or a tornado touched down. There were no watches or warnings when the storm came through.
