Iraqi Military takes back Ramadi

The Iraqi military reported Monday morning Iraqi troops have retaken the city of Ramadi. Iraqi military spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Rasoul said troops raised the Iraqi flag on top of a government building. The primary Sunni Arab city fell to ISIS last May, causing a major setback in the fight against ISIS. Ramadi is of strategic importance, as a heartland of the Sunni Muslim population and its logistics to Baghdad. Rasoul stated he is confident Iraqi forces will retake the other cities ISIS has infiltrated and controlled.
