The head of the state’s Department of Environmental Quality has resigned over the Flint water crisis. A task force assembled by Governor Snyder has blamed the state for the fiasco.
Snyder said in a news release that there will be other personnel changes at the MDEQ, “ We’ll continue to work with the community members to make sure we hear and respond to their concerns. In addition, MDEQ Director Dan Wyant has offered his resignation, and I’ve determined that it’s appropriate to accept it. I’m also making other personnel changes at MDEQ to address problems cited by the task force.”
