The automaker plans to provide a utility vehicle for every consumer taste, including a special edition of the subcompact Trax model that is designed to appeal to the hippest of young buyers. The move is in place to ensure General Motors remains a key player in the small crossover segment that is growing by leaps and bounds around the world. GM plans to sell a limited run of 1,000 Midnight Edition Trax crossovers next month. Officials say dealers began ordering the vehicles sight unseen.
