Flight to Chicago rerouted to Metro because of unruly passenger

Airplane

A flight was rerouted to Detroit’s Metro Airport Thursday evening after a passenger became unruly and was detained by others aboard the plane. United Flight 3461, operated by Shuttle America,  was on its way to Chicago O’Hare from LaGuardia when reports say a woman became disruptive and assaulted other passengers. The flight was rerouted and police were waiting for her in Detroit.

Also on Thursday evening, the North Terminal was on lockdown briefly after a bag was tossed out at the curb. It ended up being just a bag of books.
