Detroit power outages: crews working

Frozen powerline

Heavy, wet snow and winds caused more than 58,000 power outages Sunday in Detroit. DTE crews said they were able to restore service to about 48,000 customers. At 9 p.m., 10,000 customers still remained without service. DTE said crews would be working though the night to restore power as quickly as possible, adding that they expect most customers to have service by morning. Most of the remaining outages are in Oakland and Washtenaw counties. Customers can report downed power lines by calling 800-477-4747 or by using the DTE Energy app.
