A 14-year-old west Michigan motorist, Jeremiah Ingram, will plead guilty for causing a traffic crash that killed a 10-year-old boy. Ingram took his parents SUV, convinced his 10-year-old friend Jeffrey Jennings to get into the vehicle, and took off driving the night of December 3rd. Ingram was speeding down a dirt road in Muskegon and careened out of control. The crash killed Jennings. Ingram will plead guilty to reckless driving causing death and other charges at a court hearing next month. There is no plea bargain. Ingram is charged as a juvenile. Judges who oversee juvenile sentences are free to impose penalties they believe are suitable until the offender is 19 or 21 years of age.
