Hostages freed in Burkina Faso: 28 dead

Burkina Faso from CNN video

CNN reports an al Qaeda-linked group raided a luxury hotel in Burkina Faso Friday night, taking hostages. The siege has ended and 28 people are dead. Burkina Faso Foreign Minister Alpha Berry said security forces entered the hotel on Saturday and freed 126 hostages, sending half of the hostages to the hospital. Others who were injured include two Burkinabe police officers, one soldier, and a French service member. The attack represents the al Qaeda resurgence in Africa.
