A Macomb County man and wife are scheduled for sentencing Wednesday for the death of their 11-month-old daughter. Harold and Kimberly Murphy were convicted of second degree murder after their daughter died from swallowing a prescription morphine pill. The pills belonged to Kimberly Murphy’s mother who was living at the home and being treated for cancer. Prosecutors said the family was reckless in not keeping the child out of the grandmother’s room and that the home, where ten people lived, was filthy.
