President Obama in Detroit Wednesday

Obama_Visit

Before making a stop at the North American International Auto Show, President Obama will be checking out a Detroit neighborhood. So where exactly should he go? WJR’s Ken Rogulski asked auto show goers at Cobo

List of road closures from Detroit Police:

Several roads in the downtown area will be closed on Wednesday, January 20, 2016, in response to the Presidential visit. During that time, citizens can expect traffic congestion, long waits and delays during their travels. The People Mover will be shut down at 12:00 p.m. All roads will reopen at the conclusion of President Obama’s visit.

The Detroit Police Department encourages the community to remain patient and consider an alternate route to and from their destination.

The following streets shall be closed during the President’s visit:

Eastbound Larned from John C. Lodge to Washington

The entrance ramp onto John C. Lodge from Congress

Any other closures will be intermittent

Please see the Detroit People Mover’s release regarding their closures.
