Theres no place like home. After four years in an Iranian prison, former U.S. Marine Amir Hekmati landed at Flint Bishop Airport Thursday afternoon. The Michigan native was released by Iran along with three other American prisoners over the weekend. He had a medical evaluation in Germany where his family was able to meet him.
He got to spend just a moment with reporters and thanked all who helped him gain his release
A warm welcome for Amir. #KRonJR #FreedAmir pic.twitter.com/MHAVzLwFn3
